Elise Geig is a public policy expert with over 20 years of experience helping businesses, candidates, associations, and governments achieve their objectives by building and effectively leveraging political capital with elected officials, government leaders, and the general public.

Her extensive political knowledge and strong bipartisan relationships were built from several positions held in both the state legislative and executive branches as well as various nonprofit, independent lobbying, and corporate representation in the public sector.

Prior to founding Capitol Edge Consulting, Elise began her career with the Ohio House of Representatives serving key members of the House Republican Caucus as a Senior Legislative Aide and Majority Policy Advisor to the Speaker of the House on dozens of state operating and capital budgets, several state and local campaigns, and a multitude of legislative and policy issues including education, transportation, Medicaid, healthcare and social services, local and state government, insurance and financial institutions, and government procurement.

Elise also worked for the State Treasurer of Ohio serving as the Director of Strategic Partnerships under Treasurer Robert Sprague and the Legislative Liaison under former Treasurer Josh Mandel.  She further served in the administration as a legislative liaison in both the Ohio Department of Aging and Ohio Department of Job and Family Services focusing on Medicaid funding and policy.

Elise’s private sector roles include Director of Health Policy for the Ohio Nurses Association, Vice President of Government Relations for an independent lobbying firm, and Regional Director of Government Relations for Equifax.

Elise’s campaign leadership, consultation, and PAC fundraising has led many to victory.  As Assistant Deputy Finance Director for the Ohio House Republican Organization Committee, she helped raise over ten million dollars to bring a historical 66 seat majority in 2016.

Elise holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from The University of Akron and a Master’s degree in Political Campaign Management from George Washington University.  She lives and works in Columbus with her husband and two children.
